IN-GAME 3D CHARACTER ANIMATION | TEAM LEADERSHIP
Ao Shu Spellslinger is an isometric action RPG set in an ancient China thrust into a magical industrial revolution caused by the invention of arcane alchemy. The game explores this revolutionized world and how one girl must defeat those who seek to use this wondrous discovery for evil.
As a sophomore at ArtCenter, I joined the school's very first Game Capstone as an animator for Ao Shu. I was selected by the faculty supervisor to lead 4 animators and to monitor the team's efficiency by creating and managing a shared timeline of deliverables between the directors and the group across 14 weeks. I also managed and organized file assets and naming conventions for animation needs. Aside from leadership, I animated 4 action cycles for a ranged enemy character (Sorrows) which are Idle, AOE Tendril Attack, Crawl and Getting Knocked Back with Maya. As a result, I received an A grade and recognized for being a hand selected sophomore participant to lead the animation team.
